Karachi (May 27, 2017): Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair on Saturday said Prime Minister would visit Karachi after Ramzan and would announce Karachi Package.
Addressing a ceremony here, Muhammad Zubari said that he had talked to Finance Minister Ishaq Dar regarding the proposed Karachi Package. “Ishaq Dar has agreed to allocate funds for the proposed package for development of Karachi,” he added.

He added that next week, Karachi Package would be approved. The governor said that he would go to Islamabad next week to attend a meeting on Karachi Package.
Zubair said that special allocations would be made in the proposed Karachi Package for industrial zones of Karachi separately.
The governor Sindh deplored that Karachi was once the most modern city of the region, but now people were travelling on rooftops of 70’s era buses.
He underlined the need to start joint efforts for rebuilding the city.
He added that the Green Line Metro Bus project being built by the federal government in Karachi would be completed by December this year.
He criticized the provincial government, saying that Sindh government often resort to criticism on Metro Bus projects.
