Chairing a high level meeting Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif vowed to make Pakistan peaceful for all religions an communities. The nation’s determination against terrorism is solid and every citizen will enjoy the fruit of the successes of Operation Zarb-e-Azb, he added.
The meeting reviewed internal security situation and implementation of National Action Plan. Paying tribute to the law enforcement agencies (LEAs) the prime minister said that terrorists are facing crushing defeat due to the sacrifices rendered by the LEAs and that the terrorist thought is a threat to world peace. Pakistan has given most sacrifices in war against terrorism in the world and this has been accepted globally.
Expressing satisfaction at the successes made in Operation Zarb-e-Azb the prime minister said that federal government will continue cooperation with provincial governments over exchange of information against terrorism.
The meeting was attended by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Nisar Ali Khan, Advisor National Security Lt Gen (r) Nasir Khan Janjua, DG ISI Lt Gen Rizwan Akhtar and DG Intelligence Bureau Aftab Sultan, and other high authorities.
