Islamabad (July 29, 2017): The parliamentary party meeting of PMl-N has formally announced the name of Chief Minister Punjab and brother of former PM Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif as successor of Nawaz Sharif as the new PM of Pakistan for the remaining period of ruling party tenure.
Meeting has also approved the name of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi as interim Prime Minister, who will become PM for 45 days as per the constitutional requirement.
The decision taken in PML-N parliamentary meeting presiding over by former PM Nawaz Sharif.
Addressing to meeting Nawaz Sharif has vowed that his party (PML-N) will continue its efforts to get destination of developed and prosperous Pakistan.
Former PM said that some propagated that some of the party MNAs have left the party but participation of parliamentarians in larger numbers proved their claims wrong.
