Islamabad (March 03, 2018): Following the results of election on 52 Senate seats, fell vacant after retirement of senators after completing their term, the PML-N emerged the largest party in Senate and came in position to elect its own chairman and deputy chairman.
Party wise seats out after polls 2018
According to unofficial and provisional results PML-N backed Independent candidates secured 15 seats, PPP 12, Independents 12, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) 6, JUI-F 2, MQM-P 1, NP 2, PML–F 1, and JI1. Province wise Party Position after 2018 Polls
Punjab
PML-N, despite independent candidate after SC verdict to remove Nawaz Sharif party head, got 11 seats and PTI got only one seat.
Sindh
PPP top in Sindh after securing 10 out of 12 seats while MQM and PML-F got only one each. KP
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) emerged top by securing 6 seats, PML-N 2, PP 2, JUI-F and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) each got one.
Balochistan
The Independents are the major winners in province by grabbing 8, National Party (NP) 2 and JUI-F got one seat.
Party Position
Following the results of the election of senate polls, the PML-N on top rank with 32 seats, PPP on second with 21, Independent 17, PTI 12, MQM 5, NP 5, J UI-F 4, PKMAP 3, JI 2, PML-F, BNP and ANP each now have only one seat in upper house.
