ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) was considering appointing former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi as opposition leader in the National Assembly.
The PML-N has withdrawn Shehbaz Sharif from Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairmanship and replaced Rana Tanveer as new PAC chairman.
Commenting over the issue spokesperson PML-N said that Shehbaz Sharif had no intention to become PAC chairman, however, he accepted the slot on the insist of the united opposition and parliamentary advisory committee.
Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had nominated Khawaja Asif as its parliamentary leader in the National Assembly.
He was nominated as a parliamentary leader by the former premier Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on the will of party president Shahbaz Sharif.
