KARACHI: After the recent incidents of targeted killings in the city, Police and Rangers have launched a major crackdown on the banned sectarian outfits and other criminals involved in targeted killings in different areas of the city.
Security personnel conducted a raid in Buffer Zone area and detained the General Secretary of banned Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) Taj Muhammad Hanfi.
In another raid, Allahm Naqi Naqvi was also arrested. In another action, Rizvia police arrested Amir of banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi Hafiz Umer Hayyat.
In yet another action in Rizvia, police and rangers arrested members of banned outfits and recovered arms from their possession.
Last night, Rangers have also arrested Allama Mirza Yousuf Hussain.
It is to be mentioned here that the LEAs personnel have launched the crackdown after Friday’s killing of six people in different areas of the metropolis.
