KARACHI: Two policemen have been arrested in Karachi for harassing and forcing a family to hand extortion money.
A video went viral on social media on Monday where two police officials were witnessed harassing a family on Karachi’s Sea view beach.
One of the family members resorted to videotaping them after being left no other choice to raise voice against absolute police’s hooliganism.
With the circulation of video on social media websites and escalating pressure, city’s police chief Dr Amir Shaikh took notice of the event.
He issued immediate directives to suspend and arrest the two police officers who were seen forcing the family to give extortion money and misbehave with them.
According to SSP Clifton Suhai Aziz, strict action will be taken against both policemen as strict departmental action is being carried out against them.
