ISLAMABAD: Deciding to speed up implementation of National Action Plan the government reiterated its resolve to fulfill the national aspirations in its war against terrorism.
The decision was taken at the meeting chaired by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to review the implementation of National Action Plan (NAP) at the PM House here. The meeting was attended by Army Chief General Raheel Sharif, DG Military Operations, DG ISI, federal ministers, by all the four chief ministers as well as that of Gilgit Baltistan and Governor Khyber Pakhtwankhwa.
The participants of the meeting agreed to more effective contacts between the federation and the provinces and to improve intelligence gathering and system strengthening systems for implementation of NAP and for achieving the desired results. Suggestions were also made for making reforming the criminal justice system and timeline for and important milestone of NAP was also agreed upon.
Talking on the occasion the prime minister called the role of provincial governments crucial for the implementation of NAP. The armed forces and the nation is busy fighting against terrorism , the nation expects from us the elimination of all ills from the society for ever, we would meet the national expectations at all cost, he added.
The sacrifices rendered by the personnel of the security forces and the Law Enforcement Agencies were paid glowing tribute in the meeting.
