Poor Fielding Costs Pakistan 3rd ODI Against England

BRISTOL: England on Wednesday overpowered Pakistan in the third ODI played at the Bristol.

Replying to Pakistan’s target of 359 runs, the Englishmen managed to achieve the target easily thanks to the opening stand of Jason Roy and Johny Bairstow of 150 plus.

Pakistani players fielded poorly as three easy catches were dropped by Shaheen Shinwari, Imad Waseem and Babar Azam.

Earlier, Pakistan set England a daunting target of 359 runs to win the third one-day international (ODI).

Pakistan opener Imam-ul-Haq came into form ahead of the World Cup with a century. The left-hander watched wickets fall at the other end as Pakistan declined to 95 for three after losing the toss but kept his composure to complete a 97-ball hundred including 11 fours.

Pakistan were 95 for 2 when Haris Sohail got run out while scoring 41 runs. Asif Ali made 52 runs off 43 balls smashing three sixes and two fours.

Chris Woakes picked up four wickets from England bowling side. Tom Curran also took wickets.

Earlier, England had won the toss and decided to bowl against Pakistan in the third one-day international.

Pakistan did one change in the side, Yasir is out after a terrible game against England in the second ODI. Junaid Khan has replaced Yasir Shah.
