Lahore (September 06, 2018): The Punjab government Thursday notified portfolios of five ministers after approval from Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.
Hafiz Ammar Yasir has been given the portfolio of mines and mineral, Raja Rashid Hafeez literacy, Sardar Hassnain Bahadur Dareshak livestock and dairy development, Chaudhry Zaheer-ud-Din public prosecution, and Muhammad Hashim Dogar population welfare.

Chief minister Punjab Usman Buzdar has issued a notification in this connection.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government last month announced the 23-member provincial cabinet after Prime Minister Imran Khan conducted interviews of at least 40 aspirants at his Bani Gala residence.
Imran during his interaction with Punjab cabinet members had called for austerity and said he wanted additional cars for sitting ministers sold.
Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that improvement of government hospitals’ emergencies, provision of free medicines and launch of Insaf Health Cards were part of the 100 Days Agenda and necessary steps were also being taken to introduce reforms in Punjab Police on the pattern of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police.He said that a roadmap would be designed to ensure provision of clean drinking water to every citizen in the province.
Similarly, provision of employment opportunities to jobless, promotion of skill-based education, own roof for the homeless and development of backward areas were part of the government priorities, he added.
He said that the government was focused on the agenda of national development and prosperity and promotion of good governance at every tier.
“Merit, transparency, simplicity and austerity are our strong commitments and the PTI leadership has set an example in this regard. “That is why, a committee has been constituted to promote austerity and curtail unnecessary expenditures in Punjab,” he added.
Earlier, Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar took oath as 33rd Governor of Punjab at a ceremony held at the Governor House. Chief Justice Lahore High Court Mr Justice Muhammad Yawar Ali administered the oath to the new Governor. Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar, Provincial Ministers, Senators, MNAs, MPAs and Govt officials besides PTI leaders and workers attended the oath-taking ceremony in large number.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar congratulated Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar on becoming Governor Punjab and expressed good wishes for him.
On August 15, Governor Punjab, Rafique Rajwana resigned from his post.
Speaking to reporters, Rajwana said he would return to his profession of being a lawyer after tendering his resignation.Rajwana added that a new government had been formed and it should appoint the new governor of the province.
He stressed that his decision was made after consultation with the party [PML-N] leadership.
Rajwana was appointed as the 36th governor of Punjab in 2015, replacing Chaudhry Sarwar. It is expected that Sarwar who is the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s nominee now would be appointed as next governor of the province.
