Karachi (May 18, 2017): The distance between power supply and demand has been further increased amid another break down occurred at Bin Qasim Power Plant.
The Karachi Electric, the main power provider in Megapolitan, mentioned that city being faced 525 megawatt short fall as demand of the port city is 2975 megawatt but being supplied only 2450 megawatt.
It was for the second time in the week when the KE’s power plant developed faults. Four major breakdowns have been reported in the city during last 22 days.
The areas of Liaqatabad, Burns Road, Urdu Bazar, Shah Faisal, Green Town, Azeem Pura and several other being faced load shedding of more than 10 hours as power outage in Shah Faisal Colony started at 4 pm and did not return till night.
Citizens have the view that there was no chances to get rid off this menace in near future and, haplessly, they only demanded for scheduled load shedding not unannounced.
