The protests led by PTI female MNA Aisha Gulalai, District Nazim Arbab Asim and Provincial Minister Ali Ameen Gandapur had also stormed Wapda House.

Now it is worth seeking whether the KP Police, which is much touted by PTI chief as model for other province for being apolitical and professional, is taking actions against the PTI leader and workers for violation of ban imposed by the local administration under Section 144 of CrPC in the provincial capital or not.

The police had acted as silent spectator when the PTI workers were trespassing into Wapda House by forcefully getting the main gate opened.

So far, the police has taken no action against the protesting PTI leaders and workers for violation of Sec 144.

Earlier, PTI workers staged protest sit-in in front of Wapda House in Peshawar here on Wednesday against power load shedding and over-billing by Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco).

During the sit-in, some of the protesting PTI activists entered Wapda House by forcefully opening the gate. Some of the workers also barged into Wapda House by climbing its walls.

The protesting PTI workers resorted to ear-splitting sloganeering against the federal government.

MNA Gulalai, who is leading the protest, said that due to load shedding factories and mills in the province were being closing down and people were becoming jobless.

She demanded of the government to immediately end load shedding and address the issue of over-billing. She said that their protest will continue till the issues of load shedding and over-billing are resolved. She thanked the people of Peshawar for responding to her call for protest against the federal government and attending the sit-in.
