Hyderabad: Ruling party in Sindh, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) remained victorious in first phase of local bodies elections in 14 districts of Sindh which marred by accusations of rigging and violence as two people were killed and more than 60 sustained injuries during the polling yesterday.
The PPP got victory in 29 union coucils of Sukker out of 32 UCs while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has won three UCs.
The PPP, who is ruling Sindh for last 14 years also conqured Larkana, Qamber Shahdat Kot, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Kandkhkot, Nawabshah while the PPP begged six seats in Sanghar while same numbers seats won by Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA).
According to unofficial results the PPP has gotten clear victory in seven districts of Sindh out of 14 districts.
