LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) worker and member provincial assembly in Punjab, Hassan Murtaza ended hunger strike just on second day against the recent wheat flour crisis in the country, on Friday.
The politician hunger strike continued on second day at the stair of the Punjab assembly.
Other members from the opposition benches also sat alongside the politicians as a show of solidarity towards his mission.
The politician had maintained that he will observe the hunger strike till the crisis is resolved and those responsible for the shortfall, punished.
Provincial minister Fayyaz Ul Hassan Chauhan, Chaudhry Muhammad Zaheer and ex-speaker Rana Iqbal hold talks with the PPP leader and won him over and he announced to end the strike.
After the end of strike, Hassan Murtaz said that he had observed strike for the sake of masses issue for personal reasons.
