PPP Not To Withdraw From No-Confidence Motion Against Chairman Senate: Sherry

ISLAMABAD: Senator of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Sherry Rehman has admitted that she called on Chairman Senate to suggest him to resign from Chairmanship of the upper house of the parliament.

Talking to media in Islamabad, Senator Sherry Rehman said that she has been suggested by somebody to ask the Chairman Senate to resign while implementing the suggestion she had called on Chairman Senate Saddiq Sanjrani and suggested him to resign from the post.

She said that her party will not withdraw at all cost from its stand on a no-confidence motion against the Chairman Senate adding that the party had sought an opinion from law experts and secretariat before submitting the no-confidence motion in the Senate.

Sherry Rehman categorically said “we don’t have any fear of anybody nor we are going to deal on the issue with anybody.” adding that her party co-chairman, Asif Ali Zardari, is also not doing any dealing with the somebody on the issues
She said that the PPP know who to do politics of resistance adding that Chairman Senate must have to summon the Senate session within 14-day after the submission of the opposition requisition.

Sherry said that the matter of removing the Chairman Senate is not a personal issue nor the party has presented any charge-sheet against him.
