SUKKUR: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader Khursheed Shah has refuted claims alleging PPP-led Sindh Government of using state-owned machinery in NA-205 by-polls in Ghotki.
Addressing a Seminar held on Tuberculosis at District Health Office, the senior PPP stalwart said: “There was a time that Tuberculosis was no less than a catastrophe. A campaign was started in the 1970s and it vanished. But, after a silence of little period, it began again”.
Later, highlighting the current political scenario, he claimed that JUI President Maulana Fazlur Rehman was supporting PPP candidate who is contesting at from constituency NA-205.
He said: “No one seems to talk about price-hike. It is only the poor class that is going to suffer from inflation. They made several vows and claims [before assuming power] and now have all their emphasis on money laundering”.
