Lahore (June 10, 2017): Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Saturday strongly reacted to the statement of Abid Sheir Ali against party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, saying that Sharif family cant not be saved from accountability by diversionary statements.
Responding Abid Sheir Ali’s statement, PPP leader Shaukat Basra said that Ali first needed to check his facts, saying that Uzair Baloch had already faced JIT and Ayan Ali was allowed to leave the country by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
He added that if even Sharif family was rescued from accountability by exerting pressure on Supreme Court and JIT, no one can save them from people.
Basra said that morality did not allow him or PPP leaders to comment on the statements of Nihal Hashmi, Shahbaz Sharif, Chaudhry Ghafoor and now Abid Sheir Ali.
He reminded Abdi Sheir Ali that after removal from power and going to prison Sharif family fell on the feet of Zardari.
He added that PPP leadership had taught them how to comply with ethics and respect institutions even after laying down lives.
