KARACHI: Prime Minister Imran Khan has invited the trading and industrial community of the metropolis to work in partnership with the federal government.
Prime Minister was speaking to a delegation comprising prominent traders of Karachi at Governor House.
“Pakistan’s economy cannot run on the same track of development as it has been in the past, businessmen will have to work as partners with us”, PM Khan was quoted saying.
Businessmen proposed their suggestions regarding tax reforms and controlling inflation.
On this occasion, PM took the visiting delegation in confidence, stating: “My purpose of visiting Karachi is to solve all of your issues. My entire economic team is present here so that solutions can abruptly be tabled. We aim to create comfort for you”.
During the meeting, Premier was accompanied by Finance advisor Dr Hafeez Sheikh, Institutional Reforms & Austerity advisor Dr Ishrat Hussain, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Divison Hammad Azhar and Trade Minister Abdul Razak Dawood.
