Federal Cabinet To Exchange Views On Contemporary Security Situation

ISLAMABAD: Amid escalating tensions between Pakistan and arch-rivals India, Premier Imran Khan will be chairing a meeting of the Federal cabinet in Islamabad today (Thursday) on a 12-point agenda.

Members of the federal cabinet will exchange thoughts on the contemporary issues prevailing between the two countries over continuous violation of Line of Control (LoC) by the arch-rivals.

The meeting agenda includes approval of appointments in the board of directors of National Disaster Management Authority Pakistan (NDMA). Approval for the Gilgit Baltistan Reforms package is also part of the agenda.

In the meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan and the cabinet members will validate the signed MoUs with other countries in various fields.

Cabinet will also give approval for appointments in the board of directors of National Bank in the meeting scheduled for today.

Corroborate of decisions of the Energy Committee and Privatization Committee is also part of the 12-point agenda.
