Prime Minister trying to take refuge behind immunity: Imran  

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan said that today Prime Minister’s counsel argued in the Supreme Court that the Prime Minister had immunity from judicial scrutiny over his speech in the Parliament, which meant the PM had lied in the Parliament.

Talking to media outside Supreme Court after the Panamagate case hearing, he said that the Prime Minister’s had not yet presented money trail in the Supreme Court. He added the PM had announced in the Parliament that Sharif family had all the records of their investment and business abroad. But they did not present any documents or evidence about the money trail, he added, saying that the Prime Minister was now taking refuge behind immunity.

He added that in democracy the Prime Minister is accountable to the people and opposition’s took the government to task for any wrong doing.

The PTI chief said that if the Prime Minister lied to the Parliament then what would be the worth of the Parliament.
