Lahore: Provincial Minister for prisons Punjab Fayyaz Ul Hassan Chohan has apprised that vaccination of prisoners and jail staff against the coronavirus across the province has started.
Fayyaz Ul Hassan Chohan informed that as many as 480 prisoners have been vaccinated against the virus while he added that 107 prisoners and four jail employees were administered vaccines yesterday.
The minister highlighted that 34 jail employees have so far vaccinated for the virus. The prisons minister said that the vaccination campaign is being conducting with the cooperation of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of every district of the province.
He apprised that the ban on the prisoners for meeting others is in the connection to contain the virus in the prisoners.
