KARACHI: Probe launched to detect network of banned organizations in Sindh police as investigation revealed that slain SP CID Chaudhry Aslam’s personal guard was involved in his assassination.

According to the details, suspects being held by the CTD revealed that Kamran, a police constable and team member of slain Chaudhry Aslam, was involved in his assassination. The suspects told the joint investigation team (JIT) that Kamran used to gave information regarding Aslam’s movement to his rivals. He was also involved in the attack on his house. The suspects revealed that Kamran was also an activist of a banned organization.

Earlier, the suspects Zafar Sain, Tayyab Ahsan, Qari Javeed and Wazir alias Rehan revealed in the custody of Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) that their chief took Rs 50 million for providing assistance in the assassination of Chaudhry Aslam. Police had arrested the suspects after a shootout in Korangi area of Karachi.
