ISLAMABAD: Doctors protest continued on the second consecutive day in Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and Lady Reading Hospital on the announcement of all Pakistan Grand Health Alliance against MTI act.
On the occasion, doctors and paramedics boycotted all their work took part in the protest and chanted slogans against the MTI act.
On the protest, all the departments were closed except dengue wards, polio counters and emergency wards while due to the strike people visiting the hospitals faced difficulty and they also protested over not getting medical facilities.
On the other hand, doctors protest also continued at Peshawar’s Lady Reading hospital on the second day against the police torture on doctors who were opposing the MTI act in a protest held earlier.
The outdoor patient department (OPD) and private clinics were remained closed on the occasion while police have lodged FIR against the protesting doctors.
