Karachi (March 22, 2018): The city of lights is all set to host the final of the third edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) on March 25.
Do you want to watch the final in National Stadium Karachi? Then be prepare to face some small hurdles to get to the stadium.Here’s a step-by-step guide to the security measures the fans will go through before reaching the stadium:
Lets put a sight on what to bring and what to leave at home:
A fully charged Cellphone, CNIC and Ticket is must to bring.
Power Bank or Charger for Cellphone or any other electronic gadget is not allowed.
Carrying eatable thing from outside is prohibited.

The food streets will be established within the parking areas. Spectators can purchase food and drinks from these stalls and then go to the stadium.
In case of any medical emergency, Ambulances will also be present at the parking areas.

Where To Park Your Vehicles?
There are seven parking areas, where the ticket holder will be parking there vehicles.
1: KMC Ground
2: Ground beside Hakeem Saeed Park
3: Sunday Bazaar ground adjacent to Bait-ul-Mukarram Mosque
4: Gharib Nawaz Football Ground near Millennium Mall
5: Federal Urdu University ground
6: KDA Club
7: China Ground (Kashmir Road)
In the parking areas, there would 1st physical search.
Note: Carrying tickets is mandatory to park the cars, otherwise the spectators won’t be permitted to park their vehicles.
Shuttle Service:
There is a shuttle service arranged to pick the attendants and drop them off at the three designated drop zones:
1: Expo Centre,
2: Opposite Bahria University
3: Third opposite to Aga Khan Hospital.
At the drop-zones, 2nd physical search will be there.
Then Walk To Stadium:
The Spectators will then walk from the drop zone to the stadium gates (a distance of about 200-300 meters).
Senior and differently-able citizens will be transported from the drop zones to the gates.
At the stadium gates, the third physical search will be done.
Finally, PCB staff will then guide the spectators to their seats.
Timings:
- Shuttle service begins, and stadium gates open, at 12pm
- Stadium gates close at 5pm
- Opening ceremony to take place around 6pm
- Match to start around 7pm
- Match expected to end around 11pm
After the ending of the match, the crowed will be transported back to the marshaling area via the shuttle service.
Traffic Arrangements for the day:
Routes leading to and from Hassan Square and New Town will be closed for traffic on March 25.
However, the roads leading to private hospitals on the Stadium Road will remain open. Shahrah-e-Faisal and Shahrah-i-Quaideen will also remain functional throughout.
Traffic coming from Nursery (or Airport) will be diverted towards Drigh Road Shahrah-e-Faisal, left (or right) turn Rashid Minhas Road, Millenium to NIPA.
Traffic from Rashid Minhas Road will be diverted from NIPA towards Drigh Road, and from Shahrah-e-Faisal towards NIPA.
Plans for Security
Inside the National Stadium, Rangers personnel will be responsible for security, whereas the security responsibilities outside the stadium, police and other law enforcement authorities will be performing their jobs.
According to the report unveiled by DIG Traffic Imran Yaqoob Minhas, the 8,500 police personnel will be performing their duties around the stadium for the match.
A total of 1,600 traffic police officers will be deployed across the metropolis to assist commuters in avoiding traffic jams and other hurdles.
The DIG West Zulfiqar Ali Larik said that, the South Zone police will be deployed for the security of the hotel where the players will be staying.
So, if you want to enjoy the final of PSL that is going to be played in between the defending Champion Peshawar Zalmi and the winner of first edition of the PSL Islamabad United, then follow the given instructions to avoid any panicking situation.
