Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed Wasim Akram and Rameez Raja as ambassador of Pakistan Super League (PSL), Wasim Akram said that apart of agreement with foreign cricket leagues but the development of cricket in Pakistan is more dear to him, while Rameez Raja said that young players would gain confidence through playing games with foreign cricketers.
Both former captains of national cricket team, Wasim Akram and Rameez Raja met Chairman of PCB, Shahryar Khan and Chairman of executive committee Najam Sethi.
Whereas, in a joint press conference after the meeting, Wasim Akram said that Pakistan’s growth in cricket is always close to him, while he would not work with upcoming master league to be held in Dubai, after the agreement with PSL
However, Rameez Raja said that national team players would get chance to play with foreign players by holding PSL, which may increase their confidence.
According to Waseem Akram, if Indian players could make their place in national team by playing an IPL session, so national cricket players would get good players through holding of PSL.
