KARACHI: Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Leader Asif Hasnain on Sunday advised Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar to resign instead of complaining of lack of powers.
Addressing après conference here at Karachi Press Club, Hasnain said that Mayor Karachi miserably failed to lift garbage and waste from the city during his 100-day cleanliness drive, adding that its incumbent upon those lacking power to resign by shunning all perks and privileges instead of excessive complaining of lack of power.
Hasnain said that no party in Pakistan devolve powers. The PSP leader questioned Mayor Karachi as to what he has done in whatever powers, budgets and departments you have at your disposal.
Hasnain said that Karachi was facing many challenges including waste, over-billing, dilapidated sewerage and water supply system.
