KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) benchmark 100-index tally has been witnessed a rapid upward trend in the current business week and it has jumped over 2500 points.
In the entire week, the index crossed the psychological limit of 31000 points from 28000.
The benchmark 100-index gained nine per cent during the week as an increase of 424 billion rupees in market capitalization was also witnessed that pushed the market capitalization from Rs 5916 billion to Rs 6340.
The currency market has witnessed ups and downs during the week as the dollar depreciated by Rs 1.14 against rupees and reached to Rs 157.52 from 158.66 in the interbank market.
In the open market, dollar slides downy by Rs 1 and closed at 157.90 from 158.90.
