Lahore (November 7, 2017): The leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) and runner up candidate from NA-120 constituency Yasmeen Rashid challenged NA-120 by-poll results in Election commission of Pakistan and alleged that large scale rigging was done during the by -poll.
The PML-N candidate Begum Kalsoom Nawaz had won the by poll of NA-120 defeating PTI candidate Yasmeen Rashid with difference of about 15000 votes on September 17.
Talking to media after filing her petition in ECP, PTI leader said that PTI had filed plea against the unidentified 29000 votes and Lahore High Court sought list of mentioned voters list, however ECP had provided incomplete list on which PTI protested and demanded complete list.
” ECP had not paid any attention and provided incomplete documents before the by poll, however after assessment it was found that 30 percent of voters outside the country and other 30 percent voters were dead,” she explained adding that some voters listed twice and all evidences have been provided to ECP.
She continued saying that despite objections raised by the PTI polling agents suspect voters were allowed to cast their votes as more then 32 petition have been filed over violation of EC code of conduct.
