PTI Clinches NA-91 Seat After Re-polling

SARGODHA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Amir Sultan Cheema has won the Sargodha’s NA-91 after the ECP ordered re-polling on 20 polling stations in the constituency after finding evidence of ballot tampering.

According to unofficial results, PTI candidate Amri Sultan Cheema scored 12028 votes while his rival PML-N candidate Dr Zulfiqar Bhatti got 3134 votes.

In the general election 2018 PML-N candidate Dr Zulfiqar Bhatti won the seat with a lead of 87 votes, however, PTI candidate filed appealed for re-polling in 20 polling stations citing tempering in voting.

Information Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain congratulated Amir Cheema on his victory.

In a tweet message, the Minister said it shows people’s confidence on the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
