Islamabad (September 27, 2017): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) has demanded the resignation of finance minister Ishaq Dar, who was formally indicted by accountability court today and the placing of names of Sharif family on Exit Control List (ECL).
The demand emerged in a PTI’s consultative meeting held in Bani Gala and presided over by the party chairman Imran Khan.The meeting has expressed dissatisfaction over the government’s fragile interior and foreign policies. It also expressed concerns over the mountainous price hike in the country.
Talking to media after the meeting, party spokesperson Fawad Chaudhary alleged that Nawaz Sharif was trying to escape abroad from facing courts.
“Pakistan could not bear the Nawaz-created conflict among the state institutions, therefore urgent need of early election in the country,” he said.
He questioned the role of Intelligence Bureau (IB) head and said PTI will bring resolution in National assembly over the IB head’s alleged loyalty with Nawaz Sharif rather state.

During the meeting differences have emerged within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) ranks over the possibility of selecting Shah Mehmood Qureshi as the candidate for the National Assembly leader of the opposition slot.
Many parliamentarians of the party have expressed serious reservations over selecting Qureshi for the position.
The Pakistan Muslim League (Q) has also expressed reservations of the name of Shah Mehmood Qureshi as opposition leader.
In his statement party chief Chaudhary Shujaat accused that his party was not taken in confidence before appoint of Shah Mehmood as new opposition leader.
