ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) has demanded the resign of the local bodies minister Saeed Ghani after the miserable situation of the megacity.
Addressing press conference, federal minister for maritime affairs Ali Zaidi alleged that recent heavy rains exposed Sindh government performance as the issued could not be resolved only standing in rainwater to show off it required practical steps.
“Even in the constituency of the local minister is presenting deteriorating shape and he did not pay attention to the cleanliness of sewerage nullahs,” he said.
Replying to a question he said that Sindh government did not help Mayor Karachi that forced him o write a letter to the federal government.
He alleged that the sea has been destroyed by throwing garbage from Ghotki to Karachi and if the situation prevails continuously no ships will come to Karachi port.
“Saeed Ghani has failed to show performance, therefore, he should be resigned as the federal government will not let Karachi alone and will clean the Karachi with the help of the people,” he said.
