SWABI: Police used tear gas shells against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PT) workers and supporters at Swabi interchange on Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway when they tried to remove the containers placed on the road to stop them from going to Islamabad to join the Nov 2 protest.
The protesters were attempting to remove obstructions out of the way using cranes when police began shelling. The PTI workers clashed with the police and pelted it with stones. The area of Swabi interchange turned into battle ground.
On the other hand, KP chief Minister while leading a caravan of PTI workers and supporters is leading toward the area en route to Islamabad.
