ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Monday heaped praises on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for what he said comprehensive and commendable speech in UN General Assembly last month, saying that he has not an iota of doubt on Prime Minister’s patriotism and discernment.
The PTI leader while addressing the meeting of parliamentary parties’ heads, which is going on in Islamabad under Nawaz Sharif chair to discuss Kashmir and situation at LoC, rejected the notion of Pakistan’s isolation at diplomatic front.
Addressing the Prime Minister Qureshi said: “My party has differences with you over several issues but today we (PTI) attended the conference to give message to the whole world that on Kashmir issue the entire Pakistani nation is united.”
He further said that “your government had taken many positive steps soon after coming into power and extended olive branch towards India but it did not respond positively.”
The PTI leader said that in the past it was India which always back tracked from bilateral agreements. He said that they all were with the oppressed Kashmiri people.
Qureshi said India knows very well that there was no military solution to Kashmir issue, despite that it resorted to aggression at LoC.
“ Prime Minister Sahib I have not an iota of doubt on your discernment and patriotism and have complete faith on you,” he said while addressing directly the Prime Minister. He said that Indus Water Treaty had withstood the Kargil and other conflicts but India demonstrated irresponsible behaviour even over the treaty.
He said that PTI would back the government and Prime Minister in a show of national solidarity and in the best interests of the country.
