LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has kicked-off the plantation drive in Lahore ‘Clean and Green’ drive of the government.
Addressing the ceremony in Lahore on Sunday, Sardar Usman Buzdar said that 45 million trees will be planted in a period of four years to overcome the target of covering all forest area.
“No example of such a project can be found in Pakistan’s history. The plantation drive will prove to be a game-changer”, Buzdar claimed.
On the other hand, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Sunday planted a sapling at the main lawn of Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad as part of the government’s drive.
On the occasion, Shah Mahmood Qureshi held a special prayer for security of the country and innocent Muslims of held Kashmir.
