LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar on Thursday rejected a proposed hike in the fares of the ‘metro bus service.
As per details, Punjab CM chaired an important meeting of provincial cabinet’s standing committee for finance and development.
CM Buzdar, however, rejected Punjab mass transit authority’s proposal for increasing fares of the metro bus service.
On this occasion, CM Buzdar said, “I do not want to put a direct burden on the poor people of the province.”
“We should consider other workable solutions to get a boost in financial resources,” he added.
The Punjab CM also approved compensation to families of contract employees in case of death of the individual during the employment period during the meeting.
