MULTAN: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the lynching of a woman school teacher in Multan on Monday night and directed RPO Multan Azam Taimori to submit a report on the brutal killing.
While police have arrested the lynched woman’s husband Iqbal in raid. He told the police that her wife was lynched by her stepchildren.
The barbaric act occurred in Makhdoom Rasheed area of Multan, where a woman was allegedly burnt alive.
Unidentified savage men tied Perveen Akhtar with her bed and burnt her alive. The savages, after burning the woman alive, locked the room.
Police said that the woman had a second marriage with a person naming Iqbal. While her husband Iqbal told the police that Perveen had a dispute with her ex-husband’s children.
