LAHORE: PTI led Punjab government has given a clean chit to the former chief minister of the province, Shahbaz Sharif in another scam of solid waste management project after the laptop scandal.
Addressing the Punjab assembly session, provincial law minister Raja Basharat said that neither any irregularity found in the solid waste management project nor politicians and high officials received salaries of ghost employees.
In reply of a woman member of provincial assembly (MPA), Momina Waheed written query, the law minister Raja Basharat said that former government had established solid waste management companies for improving cleaning system of the province in Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan and Bahawalpur.
The minister said that it is not true that billion rupees corruption made in the solid waste management project while he also negated that politicians and government officers received ghost employees’ salaries.
He informed that irregularity only found in procurement in Gujranwala west Management Company and a case was registered against accused in anti-corruption.
