Punjab Govt To Increase Minimum Wages

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Friday has decided to increase minimum monthly wages of labours within the province.

The Punjab CM has announced to increase the minimum monthly wages of labourers to 16,500 and industrial labours will also be issued labour cards. The labour card can be used for purchasing subsidized goods.

Usman Buzdar presided a high-level meeting in which the CM approved important decisions.

The minimum monthly wage structure for the working class was increased from 15,000 to 16,500 during the meeting.

The CM also approved the issuance of labour cards to working class which can be used for purchasing subsidized goods.

Usman Buzdar also approved the bill to provide free health care to retired workers at social security hospitals.

The CM also reviewed the performance of various sectors and also announced to allocate the residences for the labours in Multan, Nankana Sahab and Lahore with a transparent procedure.

CM also sanctioned to construct social security hospitals in Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan.
