Islamabad (May 16, 2018): A technical flaw at the Tarbela power plant derived in the breakdown of electricity in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Wednesday morning.
According to the power plant officials, the sudden blackout due to technical difficulties is affecting Lahore, Multan, Bahawalpur along with other cities in Punjab.

The breakdown is also affecting several cities in KP as well, including Peshawar, Swat and Lakki Marwat.
Efforts are also being made to restore the supply of electricity to Islamabad.
The spokesman said the South system is working and there is no supply failure to Sindh and Balochistan.
He said Ghazi Barotha has been synchronized and connected to the national grid.
