Lahore (February 21, 2018): The bar associations across the Punjab province on Wednesday are observing strike in respective courts over yesterday’s incident at Lahore session court in which two lawyers were killed after a lawyer opened fire in the court premises.
The appeal was made by Punjab Bar Council on which strike is being observed at all courts and the lawyers would not appear in their cases in the respective courts.

The lawyers would hold references condemning the yesterday’s incident and would also mull over strategy to avoid such incidents in future.
On Tuesday, Two lawyers were killed in a firing incident between two groups in Session Court Lahore.
The incident occurred in Lahore session court when two groups opened fire at each other causing injuries to two lawyers one of whom later succumbed to injuries on his way to the hospital.

Both the perpetrator, identified as Kashif Rajput, and a slain victim were embroiled in a property dispute, the police added. The victims were identified as Rana Nadeem and Rana Owais.
The incident took place outside the courtroom of Judge Taseerur Rehman. The assailant was taken into custody, police said.
Fear gripped the session court building after the incident. A huge contingent of police arrived at the scene to control the situation and collect evidences from the spot.
