Lahore (September 8, 2017): The schools and dispensaries run by the Local Bodies government are being handed over to the Education and Health departments respectively. A notification in this regard has also been issued.
According to sources the decision to pass off the responsibility of managing schools and dispensaries across the entire province was made because the Local Bodies Department Punjab was facing immense difficulties to run the schools and dispensaries.
Along with the handing over of the dispensaries the services of 15 doctors and 315 vaccinators have also been handed over to the Health Department.
In all 185 schools and the services of over 3,000 teachers are being handed over from the Municipal Corporation to the Education Department.
