Qadri, Zardari Demand Shahbaz Sharif Resignation

Lahore (December 07, 2017): The Chairman of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Tahirul Qadri and co-chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari demanded the resignation of Shahbaz Sharif as CM Punjab.

“Both Shahbaz Sharif and Punjab Law minister Rana Sanaullah should be surrendered and present themselves before the police and wait what the law decide,” Tahirul Qadri said while Addressing a joint press conference with PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, after long meeting at Modal Town, Lahore.

PAT chairman claimed that the justice Baqir Najfi report over Modal Town tragedy has not only declared the Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif as assassin of Modal Town victims but also held the entire Punjab Government responsible of incident.

He said reported has clarified that who were the killer of Modal Town as report mentioned that no police official was ready to exposed the name who had ordered the open fire.

He also alleged that the Modal Town operation was headed by Rana Sanaullah and it was pre-planned and police was ordered to not allow the protesters to stage protest at any cost.

Talking on the occasion Asif Ali Zardri demanded the resignation of the CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and said that he more better knew the police conduct.

He signals that PPP would ready to make alliance with PAT if needed as each option can be considered in politics.

“We will not fight with institutions but with Sharif’s as the democracy they were running was not a real democracy,” Zardari said.
