QUETTA: Fifteen people including a DSP were martyred and twenty-two others injured in a bomb explosion at a mosque in Satellite town area of Quetta Friday evening.
According to Police, the bomb explosion took place when the people were offering Maghrib prayers inside a seminary in Ghousabad neighbourhood.
The injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta for treatment.
Balochistan Home Minister Zia Langove condemned the blast, saying that “terrorists were scared of Pakistan’s development”.
President, PM strongly condemn terrorist attack
President Dr. Arif Alvi and the Prime Minister Imran Khan have strongly condemned the terrorist attack at a mosque in Quetta.
In their separate messages, they expressed heart felt grief and sorrow over martyrdom of innocent people.
The President said entire nation is united against these nefarious designs against the country.
The Prime Minister also directed to provide the best medical facilities to the injured.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has also strongly condemned the terrorist attack and expressed deep grief over loss of lives in the Quetta blast.
In a tweet tonight, he extended his profound condolences to the families of all the victims of this blast.
The Minister said Mosques & places of worship are sacred places and their sanctity must be respected by all.
Meanwhile, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, in a strong condemnation of the terrorist attack, said Joint Search Operation of FC and Police is in progress and area has been cordoned off. He said every possible assistance to be provided to police and civil administration..
