Quetta Civil Hospital tragedy: SC releases inquiry report

Islamabad: Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) has released inquiry report of terrorism activity happened in Civil Hospital Quetta.

The report has recommended to set comprehensive strategy to tackle  terrorism and activate institutions for defeating thinking of terrorism.

The report on Quetta Civil Hospital bomb blast has been  made by one member commission comprising Justice Qazi Faiz Eisa on orders of the SC.

The report has given 18 recommendations for overcoming menace of terrorism while it stressed that anti terrorism act be implemented without any discrimination. Besides that National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) be activated while ban be imposed on congregations of banned outfits.

The report also recommended that for public awareness lists should be made both in English and Urdu of  terrorist organizations and their members adding that information regarding terrorists must be uploaded on websites of interior ministry, NACTA and information ministry.

The report made on SC directions said that “terrorists are pouring into the country due to non monitoring of western border. ” The report asserted that effective monitoring, surveillance of the western border that entry of terrorists could be stopped.

The report further added that ministry of religious affairs could not create harmony while monitoring of madrasas and their registrations should be done.
