Islamabad (Sep 6, 2017): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Wednesday met Secretary Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Baber Yaqoob Fateh Muhammad and apprised him of alleged violation of ECP’s code of conduct by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz in the campaign for NA-120 by-elections.
Quraishi conveyed to the Secretly ECP the reservations of PTI about the alleged code violations and use of state machinery.
Talking to media after the meeting, the PTI leader said that PTV was run on taxpayers’ money and it gave coverage to the election campaign of only one candidate.
He added that if this illegality was not stopped the PTI would resort to protest. He said that PML-N was using state machinery and resources in its election campaign.He said that provincial minister Bilal Yaseem was running PML-N candidate’s campaign despite submitting affidavit in ECP.
He said that ECP should take notice of the sue of state machinery and resources in election camping of one party.
He alleged the CNICs of PTI voters were being blocked in the constituency.
