Islamabad (November 23, 2018): The foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi called Chinese counterpart Wang Yi via telephone and shared the details of the attack on Chinese consulate general in Karachi today, Friday.
Wang Yi appreciated the Pakistan Army and police for their “timely and proper action” in response to the attack and saluted the martyred police officer for their timely efforts.

He also expressed condolence with the deceased police officers, who have died during the terrorist attack.
Foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi told the Chinese counterpart that the security forces foiled the attempt by taking timely action against the terrorists.
“Such cowardly attempts could not be damaged the Pak-China relation as the protection of all ambassadors deployed in the country is our national responsibility,” he said.
He mentioned that it was an attempt to affect the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), however, it was crashed and the ties between both countries have become further strengthen.

He warned that the anti-state elements will face humiliation in future as well. He also assured the Chinese counterpart that complete probe would be done in this connection.
