ISLAMABAD: Calling the logistics and maritime treaty between the US and India a threat for the region National Security Advisor Nasir Janjua said this is being done to check China’s power of defense.
Addressing the national conference on security challenges in Indian Ocean Nasir Janjua said that the modern view of maritime security revolves around governance and security of the sea which continues getting better. The idea of sea security gained importance after terrorism perpetrated on 9/11.
Over the India-US defense pact he said that the two countries have come to appear as big defense partners while India is making preparations to stop China.
Replying to a question while talking to media after the ceremony Nasir Janjua said that if former Army Chief General Raheel becomes the head of Islamic military alliance it would help unite the Muslim Ummah which will benefit all the countries including Iran. Raheel Sharif will also remove mutual misunderstandings between the Muslim countries.
Advisor National Security further said that Russia and Central Asian States could only benefit from the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project only if there is sustainable peace in Afghanistan. However, India has opened both the fronts against the nuclear powers which is nothing but a loss making deal.
