Rain, Snowfall Expected To Grip Upper Parts Of Country

ISLAMABAD: Weather on Tuesday remained cold and dry in most parts of the country. However, rain occurred at scattered places in Makran, Quetta, Malakand divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan.

As per details, widespread rain along with thunderstorm is expected to engulf Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat divisions, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha divisions), Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

Moreover, snowfall over hills is also expected in Malakand division (Swat, Chitral, Kalam, Malamjabba & upper Dir), Quetta, Hazara division, Murree, Galliyat, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the period.

Nonetheless, the westerly wave is affecting western parts of the country and likely to grip upper parts today and may persist till Thursday.

The coldest temperate was recorded today in Skardu at -11°C, followed by -06°C in Bagrote and -04°C in Gupis , Kalam, Astore and Hunza, whereas -03°C was recorded in Parachinar, -02°C in Malamjabba, -01°C in Drosh and Murree.
