Karachi: The rain-water still can’t be drained out from upscale area of Karachi, Defence Housing Authority (DHA) while Karachi Port Trust (KPT) under pass in Clifton has been closed temporarily.
The people of defense in a complete misery as water accumulated in the devastating rains could not be drained out so far in many areas of DHA and Clifton. On the other hand power outages has made their lives a hell.
The decision for closure of KPT underpass was taken after a message regarding its dilapidated state went viral on social media.
The condition of the underpass will be reviewed by technical expert and after inspection decision regarding its opening will be taken.
The officials have suggested citizens to use alternate thoroughfares. According to the traffic police the underpass remained inundated with rain water for many days after which the citizens expressed fears regarding condition of the underpass.
