Rain, Snowfall Turn Weather Colder in Various Cities

Islamabad (December 11, 2017): Rains has turned weather colder in many cities across the country while rains and snowfall have paralyzed life in Azad Kashmir.

Rains continued lashing Kot Addu, Jhelum, Pindi Bhattian, Hafizabad, Sargodha, Chichiwatni, Hijrah Shah Muqeen and many other areas of Punjab intermittently.

Murree, Nowshehra Warkan, Renala Khurd, Attock, KALLAR Kahar, Zafarwal, Daska, Mianwali, Liaquatpur and surrounding areas were also lashed by rains.

Meanwhile, Karak, Malakand, Durgai, Swat, Kohlu, Abbottabad, Charsadda have also turn colder after rains.

In south, coastal cities of Sindh also turned colder after rains yesterday.

Meanwhile, rains and snowfall have forced people to remain inside home in various areas of Azad Kashmir including Neelum, Muzaffarabad, Bagh, Haveli, and Rawalakot.

The Met Department has forecast that during next 48 hours rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is expected at scattered places in upper Punjab, Islamabad, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan while at isolated places in upper FATA and South Punjab. Cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.

During the last 24 hours, in Punjab province Rahim Yar khan received 20 millimeters of rain, Khanpur 14mm, Bahawalpur city 13mm, Multan 10mm, Shorkot 5mm,  Sahiwal 8mm, Okara and Toba Tek Singh 3mm, Dera Ghazi khan, Jhang, and Sialkot 2mm, Kasur, Bhakkar, Faisalabad, Lahore, and Kot Addu 1mm of rains.

In Khyber Pakhtwankhwa province Malamjabba received 2 millimeters of rain, while in Azad Kashmir Rawalakot and Kotli received 2mm, and Garidupatta 1mm of rain.

In Gilgit Baltisan Astore received one mmillimeter of rain while in Sindh three millimeter rain was registered in Larkana; Dadu and Jacobabad two millimeters of rain; Sukkur one millimeter rains.

In Balochistan, Barkhan received three millimeters while Malamjabba received one inch of snowfall.

Quetta, Skardu, and Kalat were the coldest places of the country with minus seven degree centigrade followed by Dalbandin with minus four degree and Parachinar with minus three degree centigrade.
